The Alzheimer Society of Ontario is a charitable organization working to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease

It consists of 39 member chapters spaced throughout Ontario that provide:
The society's vision is a world without Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
The Alzheimer Society of Ontario receives some funding from the Ontario government as part of the government's "Strategy for Alzheimer Disease and Related Dementia."
The society provided financial support to the University of Toronto
for the creation of the university's Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases, and continues to invest in research at the CRND
. The support was vital in the discovery of several genes causing Alzheimer's disease
