- Energy-Efficient Commercial Building Incentives: Based on Section 179D of the Internal Revenue Code, tax benefits are available for the design and installation of energy-efficient systems including interior lighting, HVAC, hot water, or building envelopes in commercial and government buildings.
- State and Local Tax (SALT) Credits: Tax breaks including state add backs and modifications, alternative filing positions for apportion able and allocable income, and nexus issues related to state income and franchise taxes may be available to certain businesses in many states and cities.
- Hiring Credits and Incentives: States such as California offer hiring tax credits and deductions to employers to encourage and stimulate growth, development, and investment in economically depressed areas.
