Allan "Al" De Genova was a five-term Park Board Commissioner for the City of Vancouver

. He was first elected in 1993, and subsequently re-elected in 1996, 1999, 2002, and 2005. He was a candidate for the Vision Vancouver
Mayoral Nomination in 2008 and was defeated by Gregor Robertson
.
He also served as Park Board liaison to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, and Hastings Park Working Committee. He was also Advisor to the Vancouver Chinatown Merchants' Association.
