. The school opened as All Hallows' Catholic High School in 1962 and the first head teacher
was Mr. William Blackledge, who was followed by Mr. Richard K. Weremczyk. The current head teacher is Mr. Anthony S. Billings (who was a former student there himself). The school was renamed a college following designation as a specialist college for business and enterprise with ethics in 2006. The additional specialism of languages was added in 2010 and the college is now a 'faith school specialising in Business, Ethical Enterprise and Languages'.

In 2008, All Hallows' appointed a Head Boy and a Head Girl for the first time. The Head Boy was John Smith and the Head Girl was Rachael Smallwood.

Business, Ethical Enterprise and Languages
The ethical dimension of the college's work is recognised by the college's Leading Aspect Award and supported by links with the Co-operative College and the co-operative movement which emphasises values-driven business and social enterprise through co-operatives and mutuals. This ethical sponsorship has synergy with Catholic social teaching about the common good as expressed in the document Populorum Progressio. There has always been a strong uptake of languages in the college the national trend in most UK state schools. In addition to offering French, Spanish and German, the college is planning to offer Mandarin Chinese, Russian and Latin from September 2011.
