side Lokeren had been accepted. After completing a medical, Finnbogason signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the club on 20 November 2010.
Finnbogason made his debut against AA Gent on the 23rd of January 2011 when he came on as a sub but when he started his first match he scored his first goal on the 82nd minute to draw the match against Charleroi on the 12th of February.
His first goal came on 8 September 2009 in a 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship
