winning team. He played with the club until 1977.
In 1978 he joined Quilmes Atlético Club
where he helped the club to win their first and only Argentine championship in the Metropolitano 1978.

Fanesi then returned to youth coaching until he was appointed as manager of Quilmes between 1997 and 1999. He returned once again to youth coaching before having two spells as the manager of Vélez Sársfield

In 2006 he was appointed as manager of Club Guaraní
in Paraguay
, but returned to Argentina to take over at Quilmes, he didn't manage to rescue them from relegation, but following their demotion he stabilised their position in the Argentine 2nd division.
