 and a promising start where he broke into the first team as a right-back was curtailed by illness after suffering a nasty blow to the head an having seizure during a reserve game one freezing night which sidelined him till the end of the season. He resume training and playing for the first team and suffered a serious back injury which had sidelined him for over a year which forced him into early retirement and returned home to Melbourne. He resumed playing in Australia at the end of 1986 for South Melbourne and in 1987 transferred to Melbourne Croatia, making 133 appearances and scoring 10 goals from 1987 to the end of the 1991-92 season and transferred to M-League club Pahang FA
