Al-Ghazaly High School in Teaneck

is notable as one of the oldest Islamic High Schools in the United States, being founded in 1984. The school serves 7th to 12th grade. Sr. Fatina Hanini is the current principal and Sr. Khaldiya Mustafa is the Vice Principal and Guidance Counselor. The mission of the school is to mold its students into productive Islamic members of the community. Most students at Al-Ghazaly High School come from Al-Ghazaly and Al Hikmah Elementary School, located at Communipaw Avenue in Jersey City

As of the 2009-10 school year, the school had an enrollment of 261 students and 25.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE
basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.4:1.
Al-Ghazaly High School students have been accepted to top tier colleges such as MIT, Yale, Princeton and Columbia. The rest of the students go to Rutgers, Montclair State University, NJIT, and many more state colleges.
The dress code is strictly enforced. Boys wear navy blue pants and white shirts. Girls wear long navy blue Islamic dresses often referred to as "abaya" or "jilbab" and white headscarves.
The students there study standard subjects, such as Math, English, Science, History, and many more. The only difference is that they teach Arabic, Quran (memorization of the holy book), Tafsir
(analyzing/finding deep meaning to Quran), and Islamic Studies. In Islamic studies, the students learn all the morals and teachings of Islam, Sunnah, and Shariah.
The students pray together everyday, and on Fridays, they have a Khateeb (imam) preach to them.
