Afghanistan Times is an independent daily newspaper
published in English language in Kabul
, capital of Afghanistan. Established in 2005, this newspaper is published on 8 pages and contains different political, social and cultural articles and news reports.
To properly manage Afghanistan Times, we have established editorial board. Well-known personalities across the country has the membership of our board including head of the American University of Afghanistan, Dr. Sharif Fayez, Head of the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA), Dr. Omar Zakhilwal, Dr. Sultana Parwanta, Dr. Sharifa Sharif and a famous cultural personality and the ex-producer of the VOA Saduddin Shpoon.
This paper has also an include Management, Finance and Marketing department which are jointly working under board of directors.
Boards of Directors have the responsibility of finance, marketing, advertisement and subscription affairs of the news paper.
It is not related to any one or taking side with a certain group of people, aimed at serving countrymen and to strengthen peace, stability and democracy in the country.
It has been the second year that this paper has been functioning to show reality on the ground, but we are lacking funds and our current budget is satisfying requirements so need financial assistance.
We believe that if Afghanistan Times is not able to financially support itself, it can’t function by donations so since establishing this paper we are struggling to stand on our feet.
Since Afghanistan Times is established, a major part of our daily expenses have paid through subscriptions and advertisements of the paper.
If Afghanistan Times is financially supported one year in certain affairs, we certainly believe that the next year, we will be able to support our self till eighty percent and this paper would carry out publishing.
Due to lack of provincial correspondents, we have not yet been able to cover provincial events. So there is a dire need for urgent funds to hire new Chief Editors, Sub-editors and reporter and pay their salaries in the provinces of Heart, Kandahar, Ghazni, Bamian, Parwan, Kunduz, Jalalabad and Khost.
We would also need technical equipments and other office tools.
