History
The West Torrens club was founded in 1923, and the Birkalla Rovers was founded by J Taylor in 1933. In 1979 the two clubs merged to form West Torrens Birkalla (nicknamed Birks), the name they played under until the end of the 2001 season. In 2002 the club's name was changed to Adelaide Galaxy.Birkalla has produced 4 Australian internationals and 19 State representatives.
