Band

The Abingdon High School band performs both concert and marching seasons and holds the title of "The Mighty Falcon Marching Band." The band competes in several competitions during the fall season. One of their most recognized achievements is the "Papa Joe Smiddy" award, received in 2006 at the UVA Wise Marching Competition.
The Band is currently under the direction of Gary Holley as of 2010.

Chorus

Under the direction of Rose Payne the choir produces a high quality annual musical production along with several concerts. Members of the choir are consistently selected, through audition, to participate in all-county, all-district and all-state choirs.
