The government was run by an Executive council which was led by his son Prince Hassan Fareed Didi in the name of sultan Majeed Didi. He spoke fluent Urdu, Arabic, English and Sinhalese. At first he served as the vice PM at his fathers time. Then later became the Prime minister of Sultan Muhammad Shamsuddeen III
