Secondary School

Abaarso Tech Secondary School takes the best students from across the country, regardless of their ability to pay, and provides them with four years of practical and culturally relevant education, taught entirely in English. It is a 4-year boarding school (grades 9-12) for boys and girls, which uses a selective admissions process and a rigorous curriculum, and holds its students to extremely high standards of academics and behavior.

Students at AT endure a rigorous 34 hour per week schedule focused on mathematics, English, and logical thinking. The curriculum is a hybrid of the British and American systems, but is tailored to bring the students up to speed with their most competitive peers around the world. Other subjects, like Arabic and Islamic studies, also constitute a considerable part of classwork.

The teaching staff comprises highly educated teachers from all over the world, most native English speakers. Students benefit from extended access to teachers, receiving extra lessons and tutoring beyond the classroom.

Students also enjoy a host of extracurricular clubs and sports facilities, that include soccer, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, as well as a running track.
