Aarti Gupta is a former Bollywood
actor known for her appearance in Ramsay horror films such as Purana Mandir.
Aarti began her acting career in early 1980s by playing small roles in big budget films like Aamne Samne, Haadsa, Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai and others. Her first lead role was opposite debutant Mohnish Behl
in Ramsay Brother's horror drama Purana Mandir (1984). Thereafter she played the lead in two more Ramsay horror flicks Saamri(1985), which was India's first 3D horror film
, and Tahkhana (1986), opposite Kamran Rizvi. She also played Anil Kapoor's girlfriend in Feroz Khan's Jaanbaaz(1986).
She quit acting after getting married to Kailash Surendranath. She recently played a cameo in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om (2007) as a hostess at the premiere of a film.
