. During the game, the only member of the group not to participate, Ming, sees a female ghost with long hair. Soon after, one of the companions dies of a heart attack in the bathroom. Magazine editors, Jack and Cessy (Ming's older sister), hear about the case and investigate, discovering that the other three players have also died since.

Fearing that Ming might also die, they seek help from an expert on the supernatural, Fa-mo, and compile all the clues they have so far hoping to solve the mystery.  who lived back then. Instead of serving as an example to the village, this actress was a foul and despicable person, who plotted to become a member of the village's most wealthy family by setting a trap for the wife, Cho Yan-may, and killing her. The actress then abandoned the body on the mountain. When the actress died, but the vengeful ghost of the wife didn't leave. Within three days she murdered 66 villagers.

This time around, whilst building a new construction on the mountain, the bones of the vengeful ghost were pushed in to the water source on the side of the mountain. It's because of this that Cho Yan-may is once again killing people. The two examine the site and realise that the ghost can't personally kill others, she can only cause wild hallucinations in people who have drunk the water and cause them to kill themselves in violent and odd ways. However, this realisation comes too late, as Cessy and her husband have already drunk water from the polluted source. Ming, though, resolves not to sit and wait for death, she goes to the pool with the intention of dredging out the ghost's bones, however she fails and is drowned in the pool.

At this point, the only one to have not drunk the water is Fa-mo. In order to save Cessy, whom Fa-mo has always secretly loved, he conquers his own fears and drinks from the pool without hesitation. Whilst facing the hallucination of Cho Yan-may, he manages to save both himself and his beloved Cessy by inciting the ghost's sympathy for his deep love.
