Dangers

There are numerous anecdotal reports of users consuming dosages far in excess those tested by Alexander Shulgin, there is no published literature on the toxicity of 5-MeO-DALT. By far, the most dangerous effect seems to be retrograde amnesia from consuming excess amounts of this material.

Legality

5-MeO-DALT is unscheduled in the United States. It is also legal in the UK because the allyl group is not an alkyl group, which the law requires for a tryptamine to be illegal.
