History

Air defense and operational training unit until March 1, 1943, and afterward replacement training unit until March 31, 1944. On 1 May 1956, they became the first squadron to employ the Convair F-102A 'Delta Dagger' in operational service, becoming the first supersonic unit in Air Defense Command.
