This “Quality Standards Award” has been established by The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP) with the Collaboration of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), Ministry of Science and Technology Government Of Pakistan and with the support of Partner NGO's, Sindh Journalists Networ(SJN) and Standards Gazette International.
The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP) will arrange event and organige to distribute “Quality Standard Award” to those manufacturers and service Organizations who has to appreciate goods/Services that are most popular among the Consumers in Pakistan and meet all of their needs and preferences.
Quality Standard Award is intended to generate interest and involvement of local industry in Quality programmes, drive pakistan's products and services to higher levels of quality and equip our Industry to meet the challenges of domestic and International markets so that Pakistan could move into 21st Century with pride, with a view to encourage Pakistani manufacturers and service organizations to strive for excellence and giving special recognition to those who are considered to be the leaders of quality movement in Pakistan.
The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP) is a registered NGO for the protection of rights of Consumers in Pakistan. The Consumer Eye Pakistan (TCEP) is the independent and authoritative voice since year 2005 for consumers in Pakistan, building a powerful movement to help protect and empower consumers everywhere and to create consumer awareness against counterfeit, substandard and adulterated products. TCEP has been working with ISO member, Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) and Ministry of Science and Technology Government Of Pakistan and actively involved in improving quality and standards of the citizens by advocating accountability and code of conduct in government and society to promote quality and standards. TCEP also organizes meetings, brainstorming sessions, workshops, seminars and press conferences relating to Consumer rights and Quality Standards.
The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP) also monitors the trends in and operations of the media and undertakes different programmes to make the media more effective in carrying out its responsibility on Quality control activities in the country. TCEP undertakes programmes of information, education, motivation on communication aspects of different issues of importance such as Quality Standards, health and population, industry and development, politics and democracy, welfare and skill development of consumers and plan and carry out such programmes for other agencies. It provides consultancy services to government and non-governmental organizations in policy and programmes formulation relating to Standards and quality issues, media, Environment, communication, journalism and public relations, also assists in the production of manuals, reports, leaflets, brochures And booklets..
The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP) also organizes workshops, seminars and colloquiums throughout the Pakistan, bringing together people from different sections of the society, including politicians, economists, journalists and experts from related fields, to create awareness and build opinion on nationally important issues. Carrying out studies and researches on various issues is another important activity of Quality Standards, Also has a large list of its members; most of them are based on working journalism. The outcomes of these studies shall publish and disseminated immediately through organizing seminars, press conferences and other means.
