Protests
The event was heavily disrupted by environmental protests against the running of the rally. Signs were placed around the route of the rally, telling the drivers and those involved in the WRC to go home. Stages six and 11 were cancelled on Friday after rocks were thrown at the course opening car and the stage was blocked when protesters against the event pulled a fence across the road.
