The 2003 Chilean telethon was the version number 18 of the solidarity campaign
conducted in Chile
, which took place on November 21 and 22, 2003. As in the previous year the theme of this version was "The Telethon is Yours." Unfortunately the amount of money during the day was coming up with a lightness that startled everyone, which made the goal was almost achieved and not repeat the failure of 1995. In the end it required a cash assistance by the Government of Chile to the goal he had seriously jeopardized, is bound to be met with CL$ 10.600.000.000., Which was publicly announced at 1:33 on November 23. The symbol boy was Camilo Valverde.
The reason why this version of the Telethon was about to fail were the date on which it occurred badly chosen by the organizers as they used to hold the event in early December, and the fact that three days before of this crusade, Sen. Jorge Lavandero, reported no evidence that several artists, including Don Francisco
