Playoffs

In the first round of the 2002 playoffs the Kings had a series against the Utah Jazz. The Kings won the series 3-1 to move on to round two against the Dallas Mavericks. The Kings won that series 4-1 to move on to the Western Conference Finals against their rivals the Los Angeles Lakers. This was a hard-fought series but in the end the Kings would lose to the Lakers 4-3 after having a 3-2 lead in the series because of a controversial game 6.
