If we plot its a graph, we arrive at this unusual shape, which consists of a uniformly curved line which somehow joins up with itself that science has yet to find a name for. Can you think of a name for it? If you can, the Royal Mathematics Society would like to hear from you! Every year they hold a contest to find a name for this shape, on April the 4th of September. This year the contest is taking place in Nottingham (map appears placing Nottingham 300 miles too far south). You could win this computerized toast system for your school! So get writing!

The night before the party Queen Elizabeth the fourth’s handmaiden steals the patents to Queen Elizabeth the third’s dresses and working through till dawn makes forty exact replicas. Can you calculate the probability that all three queens will be wearing the same dress at the party and how many times can Queen Elizabeth’s dress change before it overheats?
