The only one that comes to mind is that 3 centuries before the birth of Christ, Alexander believed himself to be the son of his people's God (Zeus), believed himself to be semi-divine, and spread that belief amongst the people of Greece and Asia Minor. That was already a very old idea even in Alexander's time. You can trace its roots back to the mystery cults of Assyria, Persia, Chaldea, and Babylon.
