Zone Sonography technology is a type of ultrasound
system which captures data in several zones, rather than the lines used by conventional systems. The data captured in these zones is equivalent to many lines. The technology was showcased at the 2008 Annual Vascular Meeting, and was developed by Zonare Medical Systems. The Zone Sonography technology offers better framrates due it is not required to wait as long as with conventional systems for ultrasound reflection in tissue.
