Company history

New York City-based ZocDoc was founded in 2007 by Cyrus Massoumi, Oliver Kharraz, M.D., and Nick Ganju. The website was launched at the TechCrunch40 conference in 2007. At the time, scheduling was limited to Manhattan.
As of September 16, 2011, the service was in eleven U.S. metropolitan areas.
