ZocDoc is an online medical appointment booking service. ZocDoc users search for doctors, dentists, and other health care providers by insurance type and location. After viewing doctors’ verified credentials, photos and reviews from other patients, users choose an available time slot from a doctor's schedule and book an appointment through the ZocDoc website, the ZocDoc iPhone
app, or the Android app.
As of September 16, 2011, the service was in eleven U.S. metropolitan areas.

New York City-based ZocDoc was founded in 2007 by Cyrus Massoumi, Oliver Kharraz, M.D., and Nick Ganju. The website was launched at the TechCrunch40 conference in 2007. At the time, scheduling was limited to Manhattan.As of September 16, 2011, the service was in eleven U.S. metropolitan areas.
