. It is one of 58 counties of Gansu. It is part of the Gannan Prefecture. Its postal code is 746300, and in 2010 its population was 134,000 people.

On Aug 8, 2010, deadly mudslides caused by torrential rain struck the county and resulted in 1,144 people dead. It has been said by some experts that the scale of disaster was affected by deforestation and the construction of hydro dams in the area.
