Introduction

Zahira College Matale Founded in 3rd August 1942., Zahira is one of the oldest schools in the district situated in the heart of the city. Students of Zahira are gifted with immense talents in the modern nation in education, Sports, Culture, Information and communications technology, Etc.

Zahira College, Matale provides education that is meant to bring the students to highest levels and excel in their chosen career which has yielded plenty of results over the past years and will continue do so in the years to come with commitment and dedication.

This website is intended to bring together the present and past Zahrians to associate under one banner for the welfare of our college.

Houses

The students are divided into four Houses:

• Azad (Green)
• Iqbal (Blue)
• Jayah (Yellow)
• Jinnah (Red)'

The names are derived from distinguished past headmasters and principals of Zahira College. The houses compete annually in all major games to win the respective inter-house games. This is a great opportunity for young Zahirians to enhance their skills.
