Yula Beeri

Yula Beeri, born Yuli Yael Be'eri, is an Israeli composer, musician, and performer. She has been performing music in New York City for the past ten years.

Yula is the founder of the music and arts collective Yula & The Extended Family (YXFM), an ever-morphing poetic tribe based at The Hive NYC in Brooklyn. The group's members not only produce music but also theater, film, photography, painting, literature, horticulture, beekeeping, and wit.

The band has released two albums: Victor, Dark Side of the Bee, and a third due out in 2011. They include the singles "Yulix", "Back Off America", and "Mouthful of Diamonds." "Barcelona," her most well-known song performed live, has not yet appeared on an album. The band also continues to perform hits from her previous band, Nanuchka
