Overview

Ysgol Meifod is a rural community school situated in the centre of the village in the beautiful Meifod Valley. The school, which is in excellent condition, has three classrooms that are colourful, bright and well resourced. There is a large playground and playing field, lawns, gardens and vegetable plots, a greenhouse and potting shed; a pond and an early-years play area.

Ysgol Meifod aims to provide their pupils with a learning environment in which each pupil will feel known and valued as an individual. The children are not only pupils in the school but valuable members of the community. Each child is an individual and has different academic, emotional and physical needs. We aim to ensure that each child achieves its full potential. The school is very much at the heart of the village enjoying much community support and affection.

The school is headed by Headteacher Mrs Delyth Evans and assisted by four full time teachers and two peripatetic teachers in Welsh and Music.

In addition there are a further seven non-teaching staff to support the education.
