Youthwork Magazine is an evangelical
Christian
magazine published monthly in the United Kingdom
by Christian Communications Partnership (CCP) Ltd.
The magazine is associated with a wider network of Christian
organisations. It started life in the early 1990s as a supplement of Christianity Magazine
(known as Alpha at that time). Its prominence in Alpha was due to editor John Buckeridge
, who had joined the Alpha team in 1989. By 1992 he had developed it into a small bi-monthly black and white title and soon had a wide readership consisting largely of youth leaders; by 1996 it was being printed monthly.
John Buckeridge was active in the organisation of Brainstormers, a weekend conference aimed at youth leaders. The event would continue for a further seven years and, as a result of its success, the Youthwork partnership was formed with Spring Harvest
. Since then the partnership has grown to include a total of six organisations.
In 1999 both Christianity and Youthwork were bought by Premier Media Group

. Every issue contains news and features relevant to Christian
youth workers, plus a pull-out Resourcebox section with curriculum Adaptable Meeting Guides. The current Editor is Martin Saunders. Regular contributors to the magazine include Mike Pilavachi
, Mark Oestreicher, Mark Yaconelli, Jenny Baker, Chris Curtis and Roy Crowne.
