  • The track "State Farm" does not appear on the UK version of the album. In its place is a song called "Happy People," which is the only song in Yazoo's repertoire that features Vince Clarke on lead vocals.

  • In Germany, a special 2LP set was released which comprised You and Me Both and Upstairs at Eric's.

  • The song Mr Blue was later covered by Dutch singer René Klijn, who was suffering from AIDS when he recorded the song in 1993. He wanted the single to be his musical testament before he died. The song went to number one in the Netherlands in early 1993. René died several months later.

  • The song "Good Times" is the final track on Side One of the album. Following the end of the track, the side finishes with the dialogue "I think you should do the first one again Vince" and then a loop of responding laughter which on the vinyl version, repeats endlessly in the run out groove. On the cassette version, the laughter is heard once only.
