Yichun Mingyueshan Airport is an airport being built in the city of Yichun
in Jiangxi Province, China
. The airport is located in Yuanzhou District, and will serve the nearby cities of Pingxiang
and Xinyu
in addition to Yichun. It is named after Mingyueshan (lit. Moon Mountain), a national forest park near Yichun. Construction officially started on July 26, 2009 with a total investment of 502 million yuan, and the airport is expected to open in 2011.
