Yarlagadda

This is a small village in Krishna district. The Recharla Clan(Rulers of Samsthan Devara Kota)lived here for few generations.So they styled their surname as Yerlagadda now called as Yarlagadda.
The Challapalli Kota made by this family (which is more of a palace than a fort) is located near this village in Challapalli town.
Agriculture is the main profession for the people who are staying in this village.Indian flag creator Pingali Venkayya garu stayed in this village.Nagamalleswara Swamy temple is famous here.Maha Shivaratri is clebrated here in a grand manner which attracts people from neighbouring towns and villages.
