systems co-founder Len Bosack. As CEO of XKL, Len is largely responsible for pioneering the widespread commercialization of local area network (LAN) technology to connect geographically to computers over a multiprotocol router system. This type of technology was unheard of at the time Mr. Bosack perfected his first viable router in the mid- 1980’s.

XKL deployed DarkStar technology that allows enterprises to take advantage of higher reliability, reduced costs and power and allow for more control over IT resources. The “plug and play” system allow data network engineers to deploy their own optical transmission systems in metro, regional and long distance networks.

XKL also developed the TOAD-1 (Ten On A Desk) a modern compatible replacement for the discontinued PDP-10
