. In 2009 Stephen Willey made a film The Sound of Writers Forum documenting the history of Cobbing's fifty-year project.

The combined Writers Forum (UK) model of practical arts workshop, performance and sounding space, recording and publishing enterprise, is used as inspiration by Foro De Escritores in Santiago Chile - and more recently by additional Writers Forum (new series) in London, Northern England and Edinburgh.
