Would You Be Happier
Encyclopedia
"Would You Be Happier?" is a single by Irish band The Corrs
, released in 2001
, taken from their album The Best of The Corrs
, released a few weeks later.
Track 3 was omitted in some versions.
The enhanced version includes the promo video.
The inspiration for the concept came from a conversation Andrea had with director Dani Jacobs
about disguising the girls as "fat blokes", that is your stereotypical roadie. Though it never came to that, the idea of dressing up is still very much felt in the video.
During the shot, which took place in Sydney in September 2001, director Jacobs had two camera crews which filmed the Corrs during make-up and wardrope rehearsals. Some but unfortunately not all of this material ended up in the video.
Says Jacobs: "The Corrs had the most fun I have ever seen them having on a video shoot."
on their album VH1 Presents: The Corrs, Live In Dublin
in 2002. The song was released as a single in USA.

Music video
A bit like "All The Love In The World", but rather more extreme, this video lets the Corrs play with their roles. The basic concept of the video is that some ill-advised record company managers want the band to change their image. So they can be seen as some kind of Destiny's Child clone, in a KISS-like glam rock outfit and finally as some scary trash punks (notice Andrea hitting the drums with her mic!).The inspiration for the concept came from a conversation Andrea had with director Dani Jacobs
