The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers is one of the Livery Companies
of the City of London
. The organisation was formed in 1951, and the City granted it Livery status in 1963. The Company generally promotes the trade by awarding scholarship to students of the craft.

for Livery Companies. Its motto is Straight and Strong.

Edward Tadros, Chairman of British Furniture manufacturer Ercol
Furniture, was appointed Master of the WCFM for 2005-06, continuing a long line of family involvement with the Livery - his Grandfather, Lucian Ercolani, who founded Ercol in 1920, was a founder member of the Furniture Maker's Guild and Master for 1957-8, whilst Lucian's two sons, Lucian junior and Barry were Masters for 1980-81 and 1985-86 respectively. Ercol was awarded the Livery's prestigious Manufacturers Guild Mark for the quality of its furniture. In 2010 Ercol was awarded the Livery's Design Guild Mark for its Originals range, designed by the company's founder and former Master, Lucian Ercolani. It was also awarded the Design Guild Mark for its Treviso desk designed by renowned furniture designer Matthew Hilton.
