World On-Demand

World On-Demand is a 24-hours pay-TV service, introduced by The New Media Group in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Australia. It is transmitted through broadband networks via an IPTV service and uses its own software platform. It is a service that will allow multimedia content - including broadcast channels and on-demand programming - to be viewed on any television set and computer(Windows or Mac). The IPTV service utilizes IP set-top boxes (STBs), connected over any broadband telephone line.

World On-Demand, is a gateway for home users upon which the company is delivering multiple internet-based communication services.

The official web site, www.worldondemand.net, had been inaccessible since January 2010.

Channels by World On-Demand

The service features 130 channels, including drama, news, documentary and children's programming from Europe, the Americas and central Asia.
