The mill was built in 1857 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Another Mill owned by Woonsocket Rubber Co. known as the Alice Mill, named for the owners mother,, was located on Fairmount Street Woonsocket,, It was destroyed in a 2011 fire.
