Academics

Via funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the WHS campus is divided into four smaller schools:
  • Academy of International Studies (AIS)
  • Woodburn Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology (WAAST)
  • Woodburn Arts and Communications Academy (WACA)
  • Wellness, Business, and Sports School (WeBSS)


All schools on the WHS campus offer International Baccalaureate courses, and WHS students can earn a full IB diploma. It has been an IB World School since July 2001.
