Williams machine gun

The Williams machine gun was a firearm intended to break up human wave attacks during the wars in Asia. It was mounted on a tripod used for the Browning M1917 which made it quite accurate during sustained fire. Although simple in design, easy to maintain and cost effective with ammunition, it was considered bulky for a .22 calibre weapon and therefore better as a training weapon.

Its inventor, David Marshall Williams, was far better known for the M1 Carbine
