. Approximately 950 students attend the school from September through June, in grades 9 through 12. The school has a 97-98% graduation rate annually, as well as placing well over 90% of its senior classes into four-year post-secondary institutions.

The Tower, both referring to the school building's five-story tower and facade that rise over the main entrance and dominate the village's skyline. The school colors are blue and gray. Sports teams are known as the Blue Dukes and participate in the North Shore Conference

. The football team recently installed a $1.5 million stadium behind the field house. The project has replaced the old wooden bleachers with new metal ones. The field was refurbished with artificial turf and widened to accommodate the soccer teams that previously played home matches at Uihlein Soccer Park
. There are plans to finish the project by building a brick wall with a section of wrought-iron fence around the perimeter of the football field.
The girls cross country program has built a strong tradition as it has won 11 consecutive North Shore Conference Championships, qualified for state for the past 14 years, placed second in the WIAA Division I state meet in 2007 and 2009 and won the team championship in 2008- the first in school history. They consistently are one of the top teams in the area and tend to intimidate the opponents with their "Blue Storm".
In the fall of 2005, the boys' cross country team won the WIAA Division I state title. This squad set a state record in the 4x800 meter relay at the WIAA Division I State Meet during the spring of 2006.
The 2008 Men's golf team won the North Shore Conference
Championship, Regional Championship, and Sectional Championship. In the fall of 2008, the girls' cross country team won the WIAA State title. The 2008-2009 varsity boys' basketball team won the North Shore Conference
championship. Also, the girls varsity gymnastics team won first at conference, sectionals, and state in the '08-09 season. The '09-'10 boys soccer team won the North Shore Conference and were Sectional runner-up losing to Marquette University High School
The Men's basketball team of 2010-2011 beat Wisconsin Lutheran 51-50 in an overtime win. Ron Patten (#44) scored 32 points including the winning basket. They were Sectional champs and went to the State Tournament for the first time since 1998.
After a close win over Wisconsin Lutheran, The Blue Dukes traveled to Madison for the State Division 2 semi-final game. There at the Kohl Center, they beat the Seymour Thunder 54-52 on a buzzer beater by Jamie Schneck (#50). With 9.3 seconds left in the game tied at 52, Kelin Johnson (#24) puts up a lay-up, missed, and Schneck tipped the ball back in right at the buzzer. The team then proceeded to the Division 2 State Championship game.
At the Division 2 WIAA State Championship game held at the Kohl Center, the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes took down the Merrill Bluejays 65-49. The Dukes were in the lead almost the whole game, except when the Bluejay tied the game a couple times during the second quarter. Nevertheless, the Dukes never looked back and pulled away in the second half. In the last couple of minutes, Coach Lazovik was able to give his top players a rest and put in the rest of the bench. Ron Patten (19 points), Jamie Schneck (13 points), and sophomore Keelin Johnson (17 points), carried the team to their first State Championship since 1998. Congratulations 2010-2011 Blue Dukes.
The 2010-2011 Lady Dukes also fought their way to a trip to state. Led by freshman Maya Jonas, the team defeated reigning state champs New Berlin Eisenhower in a close 44-42 game. The Lady Dukes played at the Kohl Center but lost in the Division II semi-final. Great season girls!
