This was due to one of the companies involved in the redevelopment withdrawing from the project. Unfortunately, this fell through as Bristol Rovers decided that they could still play at the Memorial Stadium during redevelopment.

Stands
The ground is made up of 4 stands:- Carlsberg Stand - capacity 1,100. An all-seated stand behind one of the goals, the Carlsberg Stand was opened in 2005 and is designated to away fans. But as from the 09-10 season it will be given to home supporters.
- In2Print Stand - capacity 2,034. An all-seated stand down one side of the pitch that is sometimes partly allocated to away fans. The stand was opened in November 2001. As from the 09-10 season half of the stand will be given to away supporters.
- Speedy Skips Stand- capacity circa 2,100. A covered terrace behind the other goal, the C & G Terrace is the home standing end.
- Stagecoach Main Stand - capacity circa 1,800. A mixture of terracing at the front and seating at the back the Main Stand is down on side of the pitch, but is unusual in that it does not stretch the full length of the touchline, and does not reach either corner flag.
