Wexham is a settlement and civil parish
in the county of Buckinghamshire
. It is on the borders of the unitary authority
of Slough
and the non-metropolitan county of Berkshire
, in southern England.
The parish was originally very small, covering only 748 (3 km²) acres according to the 1881 and 1891 censuses. It was expanded greatly in 1934, taking in 1823 acres (7.4 km²) and about 1,000 people from the disbanded Langley Marish parish.
The civil parish of Wexham was divided under the Local Government Act 1972
, with the southern part becoming part of Slough and the northern part becoming part of South Bucks
district. The northern part now constitutes the civil parish of Wexham, with the southern part being a parish called Wexham Court. Wexham Court has a parish council with eleven members. The parish and some additional unparished territory form the three member Slough Borough Council
