. It opened in 1989 and its first graduating class was in May 1992. It is the largest high school in the Tolleson Union High School District with 2,453 students. The varsity football team lost to Centennial High School for the state title for 5A in 2007 and 2008. In 2010, the football team advanced to the semi-finals of the state tournament. The varsity girls' soccer and girls' basketball teams finished state runner-ups in 2006. Westview's sports teams have the mascot of the Knight, known as Sir West of View.
