The Westside Seminoles compete in numerous sports for which the school has received many honors and awards. Westside competes in Division AAAA of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) beginning in the 2012-2013 school year.Westside 24/7
Blended Learning combines face to face classroom methods with computer-mediated activities to form an integrated instructional approach. The goal of Blended Learning is to join the best practices of both face to face and online instructions. Class time can be used to engage students in interactive experiences while the online portion of the course provides students with multimedia-rich content 24/7.A blended learning environment at Westside will allow students to be self-paced, teacher-led, critical thinkers in distance and face-to-face learning. - 2. We will take what we learn through professional training and apply it to our daily teaching practice.
- 3. We will engage students in authentic, hands-on learning using current technology.
- 4. We will use a variety of ongoing assessment tools to monitor the success of our technology integration and will adjust strategies as needed.
- 5. We will share teaching tools we discover and create with our co-teachers.
