In the village the population was spread out with 20.5% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 24.6% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 20.7% who were 65 years of age or older. History
The town of Westhampton Beach was incorporated in 1928. In the mid-1990s, 15 historic house were relocated by the Army Corps of Engineers with the help and expertise of Dawn House & Building Movers. The homes were moved off of a beach and out of harm's way. The town of Westhampton Beach has it's own police and fire departments.Geography
