. During its first year of operation (2004-2005 school year), the school was located on the campus of Rancho Pico Junior High School, housing only 9th grade students and faculty. It has since moved to its own campus, housing students 9th through 12th grade. The class of 2008 was the first graduating class in the history of the high school.

Fire

On October 22, 2007 the school was surrounded by the "Magic" fire. The fire did not get any closer than the gates and the hills bordering the school. The school was already closed that Monday due to the fire risk, however the school was closed for an extra day due to unhealthy air conditions. The school suffered smoke damage to the gym and other buildings.
