History

The high school was constructed in 1957. The first graduating class was in 1960. The school renovation began in 2010 with a budget of $67 million dollars.

Campus

Starting in the spring of 2010, WHS will begin construction on a new building. The old building will be torn down, but not until the new building has been completed.
More information will be available on the new building when it becomes available.

Curriculum

Waterford High School currently offers 100+ courses in high school level math, science, English, history, foreign language, and more. Standard, advanced, and honors level classes are available for students to take; standard being the easiest, and honors being the toughest. The school also offers Advanced Placement credit classes, in which students are able to take the school's required courses while earning college credit. WHS also has many elective courses that students may take in music, art, technology, and hospitality, in addition to academic electives such as coastal navigation, film studies, journalism, and psychology.
The school is known for its business and hospitality electives. Waterford has an early childhood education program in which students are able to earn credit at Three Rivers Community College. The Culinary/Prostart program is a four year program where students are able to learn about hotel and restaurant management, gourmet cooking, and about hospitality in general.
