organization, marching band and drama program. The band may be small but is mighty and energetic. They have entertained the fans at football games for years with popular stand tunes and half time shows. The band's past shows include Spy themes, The Beatles, Blues Brothers, songs from the 70s and most recently "Songs from the 80's". The drama program, known as the "Viking Theater Company" instills discipline, hones group skills, exposes students to the rigors of work under pressure and to the rewards of committed, goal-oriented effort, while performing a straight play, a musical, and several shorter pieces every school year.
. Wareham also was the runner up in the 2006 Division 2A Super Bowl. The basketball team is regarded as one the best in New England. They won the 2009-2010 Division 3 State Title. They have also compiled 4 undefeated seasons in the past 10 years and competed in 5 Regional and State Championship games.
Wareham High competes in the South Coast Conference for athletics. Their nickname is the "Vikings," and their colors are blue,white and gold. Wareham competes with Bourne High School
in their annual Thanksgiving Day football game.
